How to Make a Website – The Ultimate Guide 2022

The Ultimate Guide to Make a Website for Beginners in 2022

Do you want to boost your online presence by creating your own website?

However, you are not sure how to make a website without the assistance of professionals.

Most people believe that creating a website for the first time will be difficult and complicated. Let me assure you that with today\'s technology, anyone can build a website from scratch.

Then, let me tell you that you\'ve come to the right place.

Hello, my name is Adil Mahmoud, and I\'m here to show you how it\'s done.

Here\'s a step-by-step guide to walk you through the entire process.

I\'ll show you how to make your own website using WordPress.org, the most popular content management system (CMS). This software is used to create more than 64.2% of all websites on the internet.

Making a website with the WordPress platform is a simple task that can be completed in 20-30 minutes.

At the end of the day, you will have your own domain name and a perfectly functioning website.

How to Make a Website in 5 Simple Steps

There are five key points to remember if you want to create a website quickly and easily.

  • Step #1: Choosing the Best Website Creation Tool
  • Step #2: Plan the layout and structure of your website.
  • Step #3: Domain name and web hosting selection
  • Step #4: WordPress website setup
  • Step #5: Choosing a theme and designing a website

In addition, I\'ll go over additional (advanced) information to assist you in starting a successful website. This guide also covers content writing, SEO optimization, website promotion, and monetization techniques (if you are planning to build your website to earn money from it).

Ritvon offers free resources and guides to help you get started and grow your business online.

Step #1: Choosing the Best Website Creation Tool

The first step is to decide the best software for building your website.

When creating a website for the first time, you will discover that there are numerous options (such as WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace) with various features. You can even learn how to code a website from the ground up!

But, how do you pick a good tool/software to start building your website?

I\'ll show you the most popular option and quickly explain some important facts about selecting the best software for your new website.

Here are some statistics showing the distribution of website builder technologies used for websites on the entire internet.

To choose the right software, you must first decide what type of website you want to create. Following that, you will determine which platform is best suited for creating your website.

  • If you want to start a blog or have a blog section on your website and post new content on a regular basis, I recommend using the WordPress.org CMS. We built our own website, Ritvon.com, with WordPress.
  • If you intend to create a static website, such as a portfolio, small business, or product brochure site, with a few pages where you will add content to showcase your company, you should consider using a website builder.

Because WordPress CMS is the most popular software and can be used to create any type of website, I\'ll show you how to create a WordPress website with web hosting and a domain name.

P.S. If you have any questions about this guide or any other guides, please let me know.

Step #2: Plan the layout and structure of your website.

This step is frequently skipped by people who are setting up a website for the first time, but I believe it is critical that you spend some time planning out your new website.

You don\'t need to complicate things if you\'re creating a website for personal use. It does not have to be a comprehensive plan. You could even sketch it on paper.

Your plan will assist you in deciding on the structure of your website as well as what content, assets, and features you will need to prepare.

However you complete this guide, you will have a better understanding of:

  • What pages will be on your website;
  • What content must be prepared;
  • What extra assets or features do you require; and
  • Which software or website builder is best for you?

Step #3: Domain name and web hosting selection

Along with choosing the right tool, you must also select an easy-to-remember domain name and a reputable web hosting service to publish your website online.

Let\'s talk about these two topics together!

Domain name

Because it is the first thing website visitors and customers associate with you, your domain name should accurately represent your brand. The name could be your name or the name of your company, for example, yourname.com or yourcompany.com.

You can get started by checking domain name availability. Register a domain with the “.com” extension if possible.

Recommendations: Cloudways, BlueHost, Hostinger.

Web hosting service

Choosing a reputable web hosting provider is critical because this service ensures that your website and content are accessible to readers around the clock.

If you use a website builder to create a website, web hosting is usually included in the services offered by the company.

Most website builders allow you to register a domain name while creating a website (keeping everything in one place), or you can purchase it separately from one of the domain registrars.

Choosing the wrong web host can significantly reduce the performance and functionality of your website.

Hosting is an important part of the process of launching a good website and ensuring that it is always available online.

Cloudways, Bluehost, and Hostinger are three of the most popular hosting companies in terms of dependability.

Step #4: WordPress website setup

WordPress.org is the most popular online CMS (content management system), with 42% of all websites on the internet and counting.

Let me walk you through the process of creating a website with WordPress software.

Making a web hosting account

Many popular hosting providers allow you to install WordPress with a single click. Setting up a WordPress website is simple regardless of which hosting provider you use (similar to website builders).

BlueHost is the most highly recommended web hosting provider on the WordPress.org website. In this tutorial, I\'ll show you how to set up a WordPress website using Bluehost. If you choose another hosting service, the process may differ slightly, but the main steps will be the same.

The section that follows explains how to sign up with BlueHost and install WordPress software using their \'one-click install\' process.

\"bluehost\"

1. Visit the Bluehost site
Go to Bluehost.com and click on the “Start Building” or \” Host Your Site\” buttons.

2. Select a hosting plan to start
If you are a beginner, the basic plan will meet all of your site\'s basic requirements.

When your website takes off and begins to receive more traffic, you should consider upgrading your hosting plan, which includes advanced features that are better suited to handle a larger inflow of traffic.

3. Search and input your website’s domain name
The domain name for your website is very important to its success. So, before you learn how to make a website, make sure you put in enough time and effort to come up with a memorable domain name..

Once you\'ve decided on a new domain name, enter it into the \”new domain\” box, and BlueHost will tell you whether or not it\'s available. If it is not available, BlueHost will provide you with a list of alternatives from which to choose.

4. Register for Bluehost
BlueHost will then direct you to the registration form, where you will enter your billing information as well as your personal information.

  • Choose your hosting package – The 12-month package provides the essentials at the most affordable price. However, you should also consider the other two packages. After all, hosting is a long-term investment in the growth of your website.
  • Package extras – You can remove unnecessary extras from your package during the early stages of your site\'s launch and reintroduce them later, if and when you feel the need. I would recommend adding or keeping the Domain Privacy + Protection option. This service will conceal your personal contact information from the world\'s database.
  • Payment details – Enter your payment information, check the box indicating that you have read and agree to the TOS (Terms of Service), and then press the green \”Submit\” button.

When the payment is successful, Bluehost will send you a confirmation email.

Following that, you will create your Bluehost account. You\'re one step closer to having a website up and running!

Create your account

Let’s create your account with Bluehost.

  • Step 1: Select the \”Create an Account\” option.
  • Step 2: Enter your password and finish setting up your account.
  • Step 3: Your account is now operational. Click the \”Log in\” button.
  • Step 4: Sign in to your account using your \”Email or Domain Name\” and \”Password.\”

Following that, you will begin working on your website.

Installing WordPress with Bluehost

After you log in to your account, Bluehost will walk you through a four-step process to help you create a website. If this is your first time creating a WordPress website, I recommend that you follow this procedure.

If you are familiar with the website creation process, you can also skip this step and install WordPress software yourself within your Bluehost account.

  • Step 1. You will begin by answering three questions: What kind of website is it? What kind is it? And for whom is it intended? In my case, I chose Business, Personal, and Myself. You can make the same choices as before, or you can make your own.
\"\"
  • Step 2. This step allows you to decide what else you want to include on your website. Bluehost provides you with several options. The options are as follows: Blog, Store, About Me, Resume, and Custom logo. In my case, I\'ll go with Blog, About Me, and Custom Logo.
  • Step 3. In this step, you\'ll need to answer a few questions about your website\'s name, tagline, and level of comfort with website creation. Keep in mind that you can always change this later.
\"\"
  • Step 4. Choosing a theme: These are pre-designed templates for your website. You can look through the available themes and see if any of them appeal to you (if you don\'t see a theme you like, skip this step). You can always change it and use something else later. There will be more information on this later.

After completing these four steps, you will be directed to your Bluehost account page. The WordPress software has now been installed!

If you enter your domain name into your web browser right now, you will see a \”Coming soon\” page. Let\'s work together to complete the process and launch your website!

Launch your website

You will see options within your Bluehost account to further customize your website based on Bluehost\'s recommendations. These options are available to you for pre-launch customizations.

Your website will go live once you click the \”Launch My Site\” button.

Don\'t get frustrated if your website URL (Uniform Resource Locator) doesn\'t look quite right when you open it in a web browser. This is simply your WordPress website\'s default theme. This theme can be changed at any time. Furthermore, you will need to make a few changes and add content to make it look complete.

By clicking the blue \”WordPress\” button in the top right corner of your screen, you can access the WordPress dashboard from your Bluehost account.

Managing Your WordPress website

WordPress functions in two ways:

The front-end
This page, as the name implies, will be visible to your visitors whenever they access your site. Back-end tasks, such as plugin functionality enhancements and theme customization, will be visible to you and your visitors on the front end of your WordPress website.

It also enables you and your incoming visitors to perform actions such as commenting and sharing on other social media platforms from the front end.

The back-end
The WordPress dashboard is where you can oversee and manage all aspects of your site\'s content, functionality, and web design.

If you want to access your WordPress dashboard, type “yourwebsite.com/wp-admin” into the address bar of your search engine. Here you can log in using your WordPress username and the password that you set for your account.

Your dashboard

The WordPress Dashboard is in charge of managing your website.

The left-side column contains all of the administrative options and is where your website\'s structure begins.

  • Home – returns you to your main dashboard.
  • Updates – This section informs you if there are any new plugins or themes that need to be updated or installed because a new version has been released. If this is the case, you\'ll notice a red circle with a number in it, indicating the number of updates required.
  • Media – will display every video, file, or photo that you\'ve ever uploaded, whether as a separate item or as part of a post. You can also directly upload to this section.
  • Comments – These are the comments that your visitors leave on your site\'s content. If you have any new unread comments, their number will be displayed in a red circle over this item in the left-side column.
  • Appearance – This section will show you all of the design options for your WordPress website, such as available features, themes, and designs.
  • Pages – From this section, you can manage all of your site\'s pages, such as the \”Contact page\” or the \”About page.\”
  • Plugins – are mini-programs that are integrated into your website to help it function better. You can use them to convert your site into a membership site or to do something more elaborate, such as adding social media icons for social sharing.
  • Settings – go here if you want to make technical changes to your site. If you want to add a feature to your hosting plan, for example, this is where it will happen.

You should now understand how to create a website. Following that, I\'ll show you how to choose the best theme for your needs and customize your website.

Step #5: Choosing a theme and designing a website

Nobody can deny the significance of a visual effect. We all appreciate well-designed items. The same is true for website design. Your visitors will stay if they like the look and feel of your site, or they will leave in seconds if it does not.

You don\'t have to be a professional web designer or developer these days to make your website look nice (here are some examples)!

Platforms such as WordPress include a plethora of pre-designed themes from which you can select based on your preferred layout and color scheme. You can also make changes to the website\'s design, add your own content, and create mobile-friendly websites.

Choosing the Right Theme

Your theme should reflect your company\'s style and brand persona. A pastel-pink bakery theme, for example, might be free to use, but it wouldn\'t be appropriate for a steel manufacturing company\'s website.

If you use WordPress to create your own website, you will have a large number of themes to choose from. Click \”Themes\” in the WordPress dashboard\'s \”Appearance\” tab. You will be given some popular choices. You can search for free themes by clicking the WordPress.org Themes button. On WordPress.org, there are over three thousand themes to choose from.

\"\"

It\'s critical to have an idea of which features you want to include in your site because it will help you filter out irrelevant themes.

Here are a few key points to consider as you make a list of your most important features.

Simple navigation
It is critical to have an easily navigable website where your visitors can quickly find and access the information they require. To accomplish this goal, you must first decide on the type of navigation you want – \'Top Navigation\' is the most popular. Also, keep in mind that your chosen theme may not support the type of navigation you require.

Integrating social media
Social media can drive traffic to your website. It is critical to include sharing icons on your website, which may not be supported by all themes.

Contact form
You can add a contact form to your contact page if you want to collect leads and contact information from potential buyers. This allows visitors to contact you directly from the web page without leaving it.

Comments Section
After reading your content, this section allows them to express their opinions and interact with your brand, which can help to increase viewership and audience engagement. To facilitate dialogue, most sites enable a comment section in the blog area.

Search bar
Having a search bar on your site allows your visitors to easily navigate your site by performing a quick search query. So, if your website has a lot of content and you want people to be able to easily find what they need, include a search bar. Again, if you don\'t want this built-in feature, look for themes that don\'t have it.

Logo and favicon
When creating your website, branding should be one of your top priorities because the faster it conveys your company\'s identity, the better.

If you want to brand a site with your company\'s logo, I recommend using Canva and a color palette to provide a more enhanced and personalized user experience, you should select a theme that allows for such customizations.

Mobile Optimization
With the increased use of smartphones, there is a good chance that your visitor is accessing your site through their mobile device. A design that does not work well on a mobile screen may result in a high bounce rate.

As a result, in the modern digital age, you should create a website using a mobile-friendly theme. When selecting a theme, ensure that it looks good on all screen sizes and types.

Font and color
The design and color palette of your brand should be used on your website as well. These elements keep your visitors interested in browsing your site\'s content. When the same fonts and colors are used consistently, your branding efforts will be more effective.

So, when creating a website, make sure that the theme you choose includes:

  • Aside from the built-in fonts and color palettes, you can use custom fonts and color palettes.
  • A feature that allows you to manage colors separately for different sections of your website.

eCommerce support
You may not need this feature at first, but you may decide to convert your website into an online store later. Choose a theme that can support an eCommerce plugin to be on the safe side.

Try it out.
The proper way to determine whether or not a theme works for you is to test it. So, create your website and publish it. Examine it page by page to see if the plugins, design elements, content, and other aspects of the site are working properly.

Another option is to look at pre-built demo sites that use the same theme. You could also go to the theme author\'s website and then visit live sites that have used the same theme you\'ve chosen to see how they look.

Following that, I\'ll go over some additional steps you should take when creating a website. Some of these are advanced topics, but if you become acquainted with them, you will be able to succeed in your online endeavors.

Content creation and preparation for your new website

Everything visible on your website can be referred to as \”content.\” As a result, if you want to convey a clear message to your visitors, you must create unique and creative content. Poorly written content frustrates and confuses visitors, causing them to abandon your page.

Before you begin writing, consider the following questions:

  • Will it be interesting and relevant to your intended audience?
  • How should you present it to your intended audience?

Furthermore, did you know that search engines reward sites that produce high-quality content by ranking them higher in search results?

This is why businesses devote a significant amount of time and resources to developing quality content that is not only informative but also relevant to their target audiences. Your content should be unique, current, and relevant!

Creating essential content

Once your website\'s framework is complete, it\'s time to focus on content before launching. It\'s fine to have the necessary information and a few blog posts on your site when it goes live, but the best way to grow your site is to keep creating quality content that can increase its rank, engagement, and visibility.

It depends on the type of website you\'re creating, but I\'ll go over the most common pages people have on their websites below.

About us page

If a visitor wants to learn more about your company and the products or services it provides, they will go to the \'About Us\' page on your website. That is why it is critical to use this page wisely and to include all of your critical information here. The \'About Us\' page introduces your business to new visitors; the right content on this page can help you build viable relationships and instill trust in your audience.

Here, you can be open and honest about what your company does and its future plans. If your website sells products or services, make sure to mention them here as well.

Because your prospects may not be familiar with your industry\'s technical jargon, everything you write here should be simple to understand. Furthermore, rather than treating the page as another sales pitch, try to keep the content creative and use it to portray your company\'s persona and brand.

To increase your conversion rate, use a more conversational tone. This will increase the likelihood of your visitors responding to a CTA (call to action).

If you want to give your cyber identity, i.e. your website, a face, you could upload pictures of yourself and your team, introducing them one by one. This will help to build trust among your visitors by giving your site a more personal touch – in effect, this will significantly boost your credibility.

Contact us page

This page is for two purposes:

  • It is used by visitors who want to contact you.
  • It demonstrates to visitors that your company is legitimate, with an office and a point of contact.

Include your contact information and the address of your company here to reassure your audience of your dependability and ability to meet their needs. Aside from the standard contact form, the following information should be included on this page:

  • The name of the contact person, as well as their position in the company.
  • The name of your company.
  • The email address of your company.
  • Your company\'s address (if you have a physical building).
  • Legal information about your company.
  • Your company\'s privacy and support policy.
  • Your company\'s business days and hours.

If your theme allows it, include a map that shows visitors where you are.

Blog page

The blog section has the potential to bring in leads and convert them into customers. However, most website owners struggle with deciding on blog post topics. On this front, I recommend that you let your company\'s objectives guide you.

You can also share your thoughts on topics that will be of interest to your readers and the industry as a whole. Your blog posts can be in-depth guides or shorter pieces of content with supporting information and technical details. Give your readers detailed information about your topic that they won\'t find anywhere else online.

Service/product page

This page is primarily used to list and describe your products and services; think of it as an online catalog for your company. You must do the following to ensure that the page content is effective and accurate:

  • Post-high-quality images (not stock photos) of all of your products from different angles for your customers to see.
  • In the description box, include a detailed description of your product that covers all of the important details.

Furthermore, if your website accepts multiple payment methods, make them clear to your customers. Any information about your return policy, the rights and liabilities of both parties in the transaction, and return or exchange options can be included here as well.

Search engine optimization for your website

One of those areas that many people take for granted is Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Some may believe it is unimportant, while others believe it is impossible to accomplish on your own.

The truth is that even if you\'re a complete beginner, you can make your website search engine friendly by using simple techniques. Advanced SEO tools are fantastic, but they are not required for a beginner.

Following a few simple steps can help you improve the SEO of your website.

Get to know the Search Console

Connecting your website to the Search Console is one of the first steps toward better SEO.

Google\'s robust set of tools will allow you to constantly monitor your website. You will discover how your website appears to Google. You\'ll find out if there are any errors to be concerned about. It is also possible to have Google notify you when your website is mentioned on the Internet.

For starters, simply connecting everything and starting with the basics will suffice. You can learn more about Search Console and improve your SEO as your website grows.

Title tags should be used on all pages.

Most newbies will name their new website and add content to the page. While the name and content are important, it is also important to know that search engines examine the title tags of each web page to determine its content.

A title tag is an HTML element that allows Google to identify your website. Title tags are used on search engine result pages, social media, and web browsers that read this information to provide you with accurate information.

It is critical to creating compelling SEO title tags. The title tag should include your targeted keywords. It should be between 50 and 60 characters long because that is the maximum length Google can display on the search engine results page.

According to Moz.com, the ideal title tag should be:

“Primary Keyword – Secondary Keyword | Brand Name”

Create original and reliable content

When it comes to running a good website, content is not optional. While some websites can function without a blog, these are uncommon and are usually run by professionals. The majority of websites should not avoid content.

Increase the speed of your website

One of the factors Google considers when ranking you on its search page results is website speed. Because there is so much content available, Google will favor websites that load faster.

Assume you have content that is similar to that of your competitor. Both articles are distinct and well-written, but your website takes five seconds longer to load. Who do you think will come out on top in Google\'s search results?

Make sure your website is hosted by a reputable web host, such as Bluehost and Cloudways. A good web host can make or break a website\'s speed. Optimize website images, and if you\'re using a CMS like WordPress, make sure you\'re using a high-quality theme that doesn\'t load extraneous files.

Make your website mobile-friendly.

Smartphones and tablets are everywhere. Even Google has begun to prioritize mobile sites, so having one is essential if you want good SEO results.

In this case, using a website builder will be advantageous because you will be able to quickly create a mobile-friendly site.

External and internal links

Links are critical not only for SEO but also for the overall success of your website. This means that you should use caution when linking within your site and linking one article to another when appropriate. But don\'t go overboard. An average 1,000-word article should have 1-3 internal links.

You should also begin linking to high authority sources and attempting to obtain backlinks to your website. Begin by writing guest posts, posting on social media, and forums, or commenting on relevant websites in your niche.

Don\'t expect immediate results

SEO requires time. We\'re not talking about hours or days here, but about weeks and months. Whatever you do in terms of SEO, you must be patient. While many people try to predict how Google will behave, the truth is that no one knows what it will do next or how it will function.

As a result, even after making changes, Google may take up to a month to recognize them. Simply be patient and keep an eye on the site.

Test your website both before and after it goes live

It is critical to test your site before launching it to ensure its success. Here are some examples of tests:

Beta testing

With all of the work that goes into creating your own website, the prospect of a test run can be quite daunting. However, testing your site prior to launch is critical.

Here are a few things you should look into before launching your website:

  • Examine the content for spelling and punctuation errors.
  • Examine design elements like image and font alignment.
  • Examine potential development issues such as broken links.
  • Inspect SEO elements such as the meta title and description tags.
  • Examine administration areas, such as your backup systems and any issues with your web host.

Post-launch testing

After you\'ve launched your website, you\'ll need a solid plan in place for the next steps in its growth and maintenance.

The following are some topics that should be covered:

  • Considerable backup.
  • Gathering of visitor feedback.
  • As needed, a maintenance team is on hand.
  • Promotional planning and metric measurement

Increasing traffic to your website

Your work does not end once you have completed the setup of a website. You will need to put in a lot of effort to get your new website in front of people.

Even if you have money, promotional campaigns must be planned and carried out. You can start counting new visitors on a daily basis if you pay for advertising. However, you are unlikely to be able to afford to pay thousands of dollars per month for paid advertisements, so let\'s look at what you can do to promote your website without spending a fortune.

Guest posting

Start following your competitors if you haven\'t already. Instead of cursing their success, read what they write about and try to benefit from their exposure. You can write about your shared field if you have knowledge of it. So, don\'t be afraid to ask for their contact information and a guest post.

You will add value to the other blog by writing something unique. In exchange, you can request that your author biography be printed at the bottom of the article by contacting the blog administrator. Hopefully, you will be permitted to mention your company or website. This will allow you to grow and reach new people who you could not previously reach.

Social media

Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other social networks are excellent promotional tools. Allow people to share your content, but remember to contribute as well.

Others will follow you if you follow them. Show them your website, and don\'t forget to include social media icons. Including a social media bar on your website will also encourage people to share your content more easily. According to our 2020 blogging study, 54.1 percent of bloggers get the most traffic from social networks.

Use a personal email signature

If you send a lot of emails, remember to include a signature. A simple email signature can be supplemented with links to your most recent blog posts or specific items from your website.

Some will ignore this, but others will remember your website\'s name and click on the link to learn more.

Quora

If you\'ve ever searched for an answer, chances are Google returned a link to Quora.com. This platform brings people together by allowing one side to ask a question and the other side to respond.

This is your chance to shine. Begin by following questions on Quora, and you will have the opportunity to write answers sooner than you think. You are welcome to mention your company and share your articles here, but you are not permitted to spam.

If you have an article that answers a portion of a question, for example, make sure to link to it when writing a unique answer on Quora. If it was useful, and if you\'re lucky, this answer will be among the top ones that appear on Google, allowing you to promote your website.

Content Aggregation

Many content aggregation platforms function similarly to social media. You set up an account and begin following people who share relevant articles. While this is admirable, what you really want to do is share your content. If you don\'t already have a blog, start one now and start writing articles to share with others.

People will start following you and posting/sharing your articles if you\'re good enough.

Comment on other websites

Comments provide an excellent promotional platform. Because of how common spam has become, the value of genuine comments has increased. Don\'t forget to leave valuable feedback while reading other articles.

Mention your blog or include a link to a resource on your site whenever possible. However, there is a fine line between sharing a resource and spamming people.

Collaboration

You can begin collaborating with others in the same way that you did with guest posting. This does not have to be limited to only posting. You can assist one another through word of mouth, social media, and comments. Perhaps you will exchange ads, banners, or assist each other in some unusual way.

Evergreen content

If you put effort into creating content, it is only a matter of time before others notice. Having valuable content for others will hopefully lead to them linking to you for free.

This is often easier said than done because, with millions of new posts published online every day, it can be difficult to make your page stand out. However, once you begin to build an audience, your entire world will change.

Proven methods for monetizing your website

Now that you\'ve learned how to build a website, fill it with relevant content, and promote it, it\'s time to monetize your efforts. You can earn real money from your website by employing the following tactics and strategies:

Affiliate marketing

Affiliate marketing allows you to earn a commission by allowing other brands and companies to market their products through your website and blogs. Many online businesses and advertisers are looking for relevant sites and blogs in their industry to help them sell their products.

Consider this revenue-generating strategy when creating your own website.

Ads placement

This is the white space on your website where Google Ads can be displayed. When your website\'s traffic skyrockets, you have two options for turning this space into a money-making machine:

  • Use Google AdSense to start, manage, and sustain a revenue stream, or
  • Sell this white space on your site directly to other brands and companies for the purpose of displaying their advertisements on your site.

Many websites have an \”Advertise With Us\” page where they sell fixed-priced advertising space to other brands – you can do the same. Potential advertisers may be interested in your website\'s statistics. These can be generated using various tools such as Google Analytics to assist your ad clients in making an informed investment based on your viewership and engagement numbers.

Online store

Choosing an e-commerce theme can help you later convert your site into an online store. If you already sell a variety of products and services, you can use your website to target online customers as well. To make this work, you must:

  • Improve the security of your website; and
  • Invest in a trusted payment gateway.

Using WordPress and WooCommerce to build an online store

WooCommerce is the most well-known WordPress plugin for online businesses.

It provides a plethora of extensions and themes, both free and paid, that can assist you in creating an online store. WooCommerce allows you to set up an online store, upload your products and services, manage and modify them, and manage all of your payment and shipping methods.

WooCommerce is used by more than 30% of all online stores due to its popularity, ease of use, and numerous extensions.
